Employment

Equal Employment Opportunity

The Remedial Herstory Project is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for our team members. We don’t just accept difference — we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products, and our community.

All positions are dependent on the success of our grant applications and would be paid with a small honorarium per episode, lesson, etc.

World History Lesson Plan Developers

The RHP is looking for passionate, openminded, and curious historians or middle-high school teachers to write inquiry-based lesson plans for gender, sexuality, or women's world history as part of our collaborative team. The position would entail selecting a topic of interest from a few options, receiving direction from the Project Director, and utilizing suggested primary sources from the Humanities Team. They would utilize their expertise with inquiry-instruction to pull together a meaningful lesson for students to more deeply understand gender, sexuality, and women's history on a topic traditionally taught in world history and world culture survey courses. The position will be paid with grant monies and provide a small honorarium per lesson developed.

Interested persons should email a personal statement explaining why they are excited about the project and a resume to President Kelsie Eckert (she/her) at remedialherstory@gmail.com.

Summer 2021 Interns

The RHP is looking for self-motivated, openminded, and curious interns for our 2021 paid summer internship project. Students of history, social studies education, or political science preferred. A familiarity with Chicago style citation, Google Sheets, women's history, and inquiry-based instruction are helpful, but not required. The program will run during June of 2021. The positions will be paid with grant monies and provide a small honorarium for project completion.

Interested persons should email a personal statement explaining why they are excited about the project and a resume to President Kelsie Eckert (she/her) at remedialherstory@gmail.com.
Where we ask what happened to the women? And put them in.

Our mission is to provide educators with ready-to-use inquiry-based lesson plans on women's history, which is why all our lessons, the podcast, and videos are free. Consider donating to RHP to support the production of new lesson plans and videos.
