Barbara Tischler is a professor of history and teacher education. She has her MA and PhD from Columbia University and received the Andrew Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in History, from Columbia University. She is currently a student-teacher supervisor for Hunter College in New York. Her major publications include:
