In this inquiry, students will examine various primary and secondary sources. After each document, students will determine whether the source thinks women vote in a distinct way when voting or if there is a clear distinction between different demographics. Graphs, primary images, and excerpts discussing the relationship between voting results and race are used in this lesson. Included with this item is: the lesson plan, a modified version of said lesson plan at the middle school level, a lesson specific powerpoint, as well as two teacher resources which help answer each lesson plan.
