In this inquiry, students will read and analyze primary material from the Mongol Empire and evaluate how women, from diverse backgrounds and status, were treated by Mongolians during the 13th century. Women included in this sources are Töregene Khātūn, Sorghaghtani Beki, Törä Qaimish, and Numulun. Included with this item is: the lesson plan, a modified version of said lesson plan at the middle school level, a lesson specific powerpoint, as well as two teacher resources which help answer each lesson plan.
